Sh!t Theatre’s
EVITA TOO
Played at the Purcell Room, Southbank Centre
The greatest story never told of the first ever female president of a country in the history of the world…
Disco dictators Becca and Louise told the wild story of Isabel Perón, Gogo dancer turned first female president, who led Argentina for 18 disastrous months before being overthrown in a military coup.
During the reign of the first ever female president of a country in the history of the world, there was a blockbuster musical about President Isabel Perón’s dead husband’s even deader ex-wife (ring a bell?) And now, nobody remembers Isabel.
Sh!t Theatre are here to right that wrong. With songs.
EVITA TOO tells Isabel’s story and the story of Sh!t Theatre who travel across Argentina and Spain in search of answers to this mysterious story. Whilst endeavouring to write a musical to match Tim and Andrew’s, Becca and Louise and Isabel’s lives surprisingly and tragically intertwine.
Truth! Justice! Songs! Wizards?! And if you play your cards right, naked roller-skating.
